International supportWe help patients communicate with independent medical providers in Japan.
Patient clarityWe separate administrative support from clinical decision-making.

Who We Are

Information and coordination, not treatment

Japan Medical helps international patients understand healthcare options in Japan, prepare information requested by medical institutions, communicate with providers, and navigate the practical steps involved in seeking care abroad.

Japan Medical is not a hospital, clinic, medical practice, pharmacy, laboratory, cell processing center, or healthcare professional. We do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, perform medical procedures, determine treatment eligibility, or provide emergency medical services.

Hospitals, clinics, physicians, laboratories, screening centers, cell processing facilities, and other healthcare providers mentioned or introduced through our service operate independently unless expressly stated otherwise. Medical decisions are made by the relevant licensed healthcare professionals.

What We Do Not Do

Clinical decisions remain with medical professionals

Diagnosis

Japan Medical does not diagnose diseases, interpret test results for patients, or provide individual medical opinions.

Prescriptions

We do not prescribe medication or tell patients to start, stop, or change a medication or treatment plan.

Eligibility

We do not decide whether a patient is suitable for a procedure, cell therapy, screening test, or other medical intervention.

Treatment delivery

We do not perform examinations, injections, surgery, infusions, cell processing, rehabilitation, or other clinical procedures.

Outcomes

We do not promise treatment success, improvement, cure, prevention, or any specific clinical result.

Emergency care

Our website, WhatsApp, and LINE are not emergency medical services.

How Decisions Are Made

The provider makes the medical decision

Record review

A receiving medical institution may review records to decide whether it can evaluate the inquiry or whether more information is needed.

Clinical judgment

The physician or medical institution may recommend further testing, another department, a different treatment approach, or no treatment.

Independent consent

If care proceeds, the provider is responsible for its own medical explanation, informed-consent process, treatment plan, and follow-up.

How We Present Medical Content

Evidence should be understandable

Different levels of evidence We aim to distinguish established medical practice, approved products, regulated treatment pathways, clinical research, and preliminary evidence.
No personalized recommendation Website content is educational and cannot account for an individual patient’s full medical history, examination findings, or treatment priorities.
Regulatory distinctions A treatment being available under a Japanese framework should not automatically be interpreted as PMDA marketing approval of a regenerative medical product.
Uncertainty matters Where evidence is limited, mixed, early-stage, or condition-specific, the content should say so rather than imply certainty.

Our Commitment

Clearer information before important decisions

Clarity

We aim to explain what Japan Medical can and cannot do before a patient shares records, travels, or commits to significant medical expenses.

Transparency

Where a material commercial relationship with a provider may be relevant to a patient’s decision, our policy is to disclose it appropriately.

Patient autonomy

Patients remain free to seek another provider, obtain a second opinion, or decline a treatment or service.
